I personally have had intercessors praying for me. Not only once, or twice, but still... These are the ever-praying ones that I so appreciate in the Kingdom of God. We should become this for each other. As often as a person (deeds...whether good or bad, news...whether true or rumor, friend or enemy) crosses our path by name, or presence, or thought, they should be graciously prayed for. Blessing prayed over someone is essentially this: "God, Your will be done."
Intercessory prayer is continual. "Christlikeness" includes intercession with an eternal, heavenly mindset. The time frame is on an endless continuum, the view is from God's eye. Is there a greater love that we can achieve here beyond TRUE PRAYER? A meal is very good, but is singular compared to God's provision. A visit is very good, but it's the prayer that comes from it that is of lasting effect. Prayer on behalf of another soul is Relationship based, taking their spiritual hand and placing it in God's Hand, as a friendly introduction would. It takes the details of the world and links them to Eternity as God has it penned.
Hebrews 7:25 (AMP) reads of Christ Jesus: Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.
He is able to save to the uttermost... He is ALWAYS LIVING to make intercession. His prayer is ceaseless, therefore we meet Him in Relationship by making our prayer ceaseless (pray without ceasing). He is ALWAYS LIVING to make petition for us...FOREVER. He will not stop. He will be found praying for us still...
Christlikeness is continual intercession in love and complete trust in His Providential working. We are to be found praying still, long after any news of trial in a person's life. One of the lies of the enemy is to make us feel that prayer is a minor thing, especially compared to doing. This sets us to accomplishing for others the spiritual things only God can do. Prayer is our HIGHEST ACCOMPLISHMENT! We can do what He leads and enables, but believe that intercessory prayer is the epitome of good will, because it is. Prayer is our primary route, ensuring we follow.
Christ is praying for you right now, in this moment, whatever moment it is that you read this. And He always will be. He always has. You are on His mind every single moment. Creation has never held an instant that He hasn't advocated for you directly. Forever...is how long He thinks on you. Do you realize you have never been off His mind? Not once, since the dawn of time.
Are the things in your childhood still being worked out for the good in you no matter how old you are? That's because He is still interceding on your behalf. The things of old age are prayed over in advance and your room in Heaven is being prepared in advance by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, asked for by Christ. Everything good along your entire existence has first been Requested.
He is the One Who Saves you.
He is praying for you and will be found praying for you still... Can you envision the Throne Room where He is praying for you right now? Can you happily anticipate that you will find Him doing so Eternally, when you arrive There? How humbling this is to know. You are a lasting commitment of His...one He never grows tired of. Everything that concerns you has come from His heart and has passed through His lips.
We echo Him in the lives of others...
