The Soul Art of Letting Go

Updated: Dec 11, 2019

Why is it so hard to "let go"?

It is my one aspiration: forgetting what lies behind,

and pressing on to the good things that are ahead.

(AMPC; Paraphrased)

The leaves of the trees in Texas are full of the vibrant colors

that we all revel in during Autumn's low light.

When we walk, gold floats down with grace

and red blankets the earth beneath our steps.

Like all of creation, the Lord grants us so many seasons.

The beauty of God is that He reveals wisdom as He revolves life.

Within and around us, is His art, and it is alive.

As we grow and mature, we learn more of His perfect, holy Character.

It is painful to let go of our past, whether recent or distant,

so God plants trees all around the world to exemplify the simple art of letting go.

We can be graceful at it, if we trust the One Who designed all of creation.

God has divine reasons for our earthly seasons.

The following is an excerpt from Dawn Dyson's upcoming release,

Sought Out: A Digital 52-Week Christian Devotional.

Does your heart ache?

That’s because there is a lie in it.

Weeping may endure for a night season…

during which, you are habitually holding on to a half-truth.

It will not cover you.

Any division to which you clutch with your soul is unhealthy, and that crack will widen with time and increase the pressure on your mental and emotional status.

Let go.

Why, you may ask? Because it is not true. God is.

BELIEVE in the right thing.

If your heart were full of the purity of a child, would it fail?

Here is my question: Why are you holding on to someone else’s sin?

When the chosen one mistrusts the God Who called them, emotions will protest.

Do not weep for what Christ died for,

or you are shortchanging the strength of His blood.

In the original languages, Paul says: I don’t look back at the effects of what God doesn’t care for. I look forward to the full impact of Christ’s return.

At Christ’s Second Coming, God Himself will clean everything and make all things right and new, including a new heaven and a new earth.

But right now, He has already done that on the inside of you.

The Kingdom of Heaven is available to your soul, in full.

The fresh and clean has already entered you. Make Him room.

Drop the ill-effects of sin. You are “different”. That is the point.

Get the wormwood out of your veins and enjoy your life.

Don’t let a lie stop you.
